In this section, I have listed an abundance of figurative language examples Elie Wiesel has applied within Night. The use of such descriptive literary language still poses an obstacle to understanding the true nature of his experiences, although his tone with the figurative language provides us with many shockingly detailed images. I greatly admire how he includes such devices, and it truly makes Night a book that can be comprehended and read on various levels. I aim to provide explanations to some of these excerpts of figurative language to demonstrate how they function within in his work, although I will not provide details for every example. Should the examples I do interpret have multiple classifications as a literary device, I will discuss the one most prevalent to the context.
